House in Nobeyama

이 집이 지어진 나가노는 고도 1,380m 높이의 지역으로, 겨울철 혹독한 추위로 유명한 곳이다. 하지만 훼손되지 않은 자연으로 둘러싸여 있으며, 인근에서는 조몬시대(기원전 약 14,000년-1,000년)의 움집이 발견된 곳이기도 하다. 설계를 디자인을 통해 거주자가 일상생활에서 자연에 더 가까이 다가갈 수 있도록 하고자 했다. 주요 생활 공간은 보온을 위하여 지면에서 900mm정도 아래에 계획됐다. 입면 디자인은 지붕의 곡선을 반영하여 계획됐는데, 곡선의 형태는 고래나 공룡을 떠올리게 한다. 원시적 집의 형태를 따르는 이 집은 필요한 공간을 계획하는 과정에서 자연에 저항하기 보다 순응한 결과물이다.

Nagano, where the house has built is a region with a height of 1,380m and renowned for its severe cold of winter. However, it’s surrounded by non-destroyed nature and it’s the place where a hut of Jomon period (about 14,000-1,000 BC) was found nearby. Through design, it has been intended to make the resident closer to the nature in his daily life. The main living space was planned about 900mm below the ground for warmth. The elevation design was designed to reflect the curve of the roof, and the shape of the curve reminds us of whales and dinosaurs. This house, which follows the shape of a primitive house, is the result of conformity rather than resistance to nature in the process of planning the necessary space.
