Ice Palace “Iceberg” was designed and built for competitions and training in figure skating and short track. The audience seats are designed in two levels. The VIP box level is placed between the levels. For the convenience of spectators and to reduce the loading and unloading time of the Ice Palace, the foyers of the first and second levels of the stands are connected around the perimeter by galleries and stairs. The pattern of intertwining waves formed on the facade by glass and sandwich panels, painted from white to several shades of blue, is intended to unite the Palace with the surrounding silhouettes of mountains and waves of the Black sea.
소치 아이스버그 빙상경기장은 피겨스케이팅 및 쇼트트랙 대회 및 훈련을 위해 지어졌다. 관중석은 두 개 층으로 설계되었다. VIP 박스 층은 이 두 개의 층 사이에 배치되었다. 관중의 편의와 경기장의 하역 시간 단축을 위해 스탠드의 1층과 2층 로비 주변은 갤러리와 계단으로 연결되었다. 유리와 샌드위치 패널로 파사드에 형성된 뒤얽힌 파도 패턴은 흰색에서 다채로운 파란색으로 칠해져 아이스 팰리스를 주변의 산, 흑해의 파도와 닮은 실루엣으로 조화를 이룬다.
