Residence. B_Garden is a weekend residence for a couple. The house was built in a rural village at the foot of Palbongsan mountain, which has eight peaks that glow in eight colors a year. The client, who spent the weekdays in the city, commissioned a second house design here in order to get away from their daily lives and draw the life they want during the weekend. The concept of the external design was made in the process of dividing and connecting the spaces, and the concept of the internal design began to appear in the process of removing the characteristics of the spaces. The gently sloping site had a level difference of 6m, and two of its sides adjoined the road. The building structure’s stability and various sequences were formed, and the three buildings with different characteristics were placed in three corners of the site. The finished ground for gardening was divided into and placed while reducing the level difference with the road in front of the site. The road in front of the site is a promenade regularly used by the people living in the village when they take a walk to Palbongsan Mountain. The vegetation blocks and the thin baluster designs, which were designed for a sense of closeness with the neighbors, allowed intimacy to be added. The house was divided into the small building for the husband’s hobby and the greenhouse building for the wife, and the guest building for a resting. The small courtyards between the three buildings were arranged to face each other or slightly aside to vary the density of the relationships. A simple outdoor kitchen was placed between the guest building and the greenhouse building in order to increase the density, and the hobby building was lowered from the guest building’s line of vision to open its view of the entire village. On the other hand, the sight of the guest building from the hobby building has a layout where one has to ascend through the narrow stairs and approach a curved path, and this aims for a slower access speed than the actual distance.

부부의 휴식을 위한 팔봉산 자락의 주말주택, 비_원

비원은 도시의 번잡함을 피해 휴식하기 위한 부부의 주말주택이다. 대지는 일 년 팔색 여덟 봉우리를 갖고 있는 팔봉산 자락의 전원마을 안에 있다. 건축가는 공간을 서로 나누고 연결하는 과정에서 외부계획의 개념을 만들었으며, 공간의 특징을 지워가는 과정에서 내부 계획의 개념을 세웠다. 먼저, 경사지에 조성된 집터는 대각선으로 높이 6m 단차가 있고 두 면이 도로에 접하는 곳이다. 비원은 안정적인 건축물과 정원에서의 다양한 시퀀스를 만들어낸다. 대지의 세 모서리에 성격이 다른 세 동의 건물이 배치됐으며, 가드닝을 위한 정지 면은 두 개로 나누어 집 터 앞길과 단차를 줄인다. 집터 앞길은 마을 주민들이 오고가는 산책로다. 이웃과의 친밀감을 위해 식생 블록과 얇은 난간살이 친근감을 더한다. 비원은 남편의 취미동, 아내의 온실동, 요리와 휴식을 취하는 게스트동, 세 동으로 나뉜다. 세 개의 동 사이에는 마당정원들이 있어, 서로의 시선을 마주하거나 비켜서 관계의 밀도를 달리한다. 게스트동과 온실동 사이에는 간이 아웃도어 키친이 있으며, 취미동은 게스트동으로부터의 시선에서 내려서 마을 전체의 조망을 열어준다. 취미동으로부터 게스트동의 시선은 좁은 계단을 통해 올라와 굽은 길로 접근할 수 있는데, 실제 거리보다 느리게 접근하도록 만든다.
