House in Karuizawa

The project is a small house for a family of three in Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan. To the east of the site is a rich forest and a small valley, open towards the forest. The house has a square plane and is designed to have a vertical advantage by planning a floor height 1.5 times (or 2 times) higher than the floor area. It is characterized by the installation of a ceiling-mounted clothing area that decorates the wall with art collected by the owner and allows the owner to change the location of the art as desired. The exterior finish used materials that are not normally used in housing. It stands out for its use of various materials such as slate, corrugated polycarbonate, and gas iron pipes. The new house that the family wanted was because it wanted to settle quietly among the rural architecture that this particular place had. The owner and his family wanted to be close to nature as it is. In this house, the balcony is the space that best expresses the wishes of these families. Plywood sandwich beam has integrated with the house through a cantilever structure. The climate in Karuizawa was somewhat harsh, and weather-resistant curtains were also installed around the balcony. It was developed by an architect with a textile designer, and beyond the translucent filter, the people inside are blurred, creating an abstract landscape.

이 프로젝트는 일본 나가노 가루이자와에 있는 3인 가족을 위한 작은 집이다. 부지의 동쪽에는 풍부한 숲과 작은 계곡이 있고, 숲을 향해 열려 있다. 집은 정사각형 평면을 가지고 있으며, 바닥면적의 1.5배(또는 2배) 높은 층고를 계획하여 수직적 이점을 가지도록 설계됐다. 건축주가 수집한 미술품으로 벽면을 장식하고, 건축주가 원하는 대로 미술품의 위치를 바꿀 수 있는 천장 장착형 의류 에어리어가 설치된 것이 특징이다. 외부 마감은 일반적으로 주택에 사용되지 않는 자재가 사용됐다. 슬레이트, 골판지형 폴리카보네이트, 가스용 철관 등의 다양한 소재를 활용한 것이 돋보인다. 가족이 원하는 새로운 집은 이 특정한 장소가 가지고 있던 농촌의 건축물들 풍경 사이에서 조용히 자리 잡기를 원했기 때문이다. 건축주와 그의 가족은 자연 그대로의 자연에 가까이 있기를 원했다. 이 집에서 발코니는 이러한 가족들의 원하는 바를 가장 잘 표현한 공간이다. 합판 샌드위치 보는 캔틸레버 구조를 통해 집과 일체화되어 있다. 가루이자와의 기후는 다소 혹독하여, 발코니를 둘레를 두르는 내후성 커튼이 설치되기도 했다. 이는 건축가가 섬유 디자이너와 함께 개발한 것으로, 반투명 필터 너머로 안에 있는 사람들이 흐릿해지며, 마치 추상화 같은 풍경을 연출한다.
