House in Sakaimachi

It is an extension plan of a family who had a minimal living in one room. Make the existing purlin a private space, A new kitchen, a learning corner for child and a loft will be set up in the extension section, A living / dining room is set up in the center of the extension to make it a public place. Since this plan was a gift for the wife and the daughter from the client fighting for cancer, Instead of putting the roof on the two cores, the kitchen for the wife and the corner for the daughter, I thought the large roof should float to enclose the two cores and the central living and dining area. Since a small house can be made of about 100 timbers, In this plan, we use solid Japanese cedar wood, which is equivalent to about 5 houses. The large eaves prevent the sunlight in the summer from hitting the glass surface, In the winter, warm light penetrates deep into the building, Along with the performance of wood, it creates a comfortable thermal environment.

사카이마치의 이 집은 미니멀한 생활을 보내는 한 가족을 위해 증축됐다. 기존의 안채는 보다 사적인 공간으로 바뀌고, 새로이 지어지는 공간에는 부엌, 아이를 위한 학습공간, 로프트가 설치됐다. 두 공간이 이어지는 부분은 거실과 다이닝이 있어 공적인 공간이자 완충공간으로 쓰인다. 암 투병 중인 건축주의 아내와 딸을 위한 선물로 계획된 이 공간은, 아내를 위한 부엌과 아이를 위한 코너에 지붕을 얹어놓기 보다는 지붕을 띄워 두 코어 공간을 감싸는 형태다. 작은 집 5채를 지을 수 있을 만큼의 삼나무로 싸인 이 주택은 목재의 견고함과 마치 작은 숲처럼 거주자를 감싸며 만들어진 여름철과 겨울철에 쾌적한 환경을 준다.
