Object is a space built for an elderly family who has lived abroad for a long time. Currently, areas used for work and exhibitions and a cafe are provided on the lower floor, and residential quarters for a family of four people are located on the upper floors of the building. The arrangement of residential accommodations for a family on the upper floors of a building within a given site is the most important factor that determines the shape of an object.

 

The site is a steep area with a southern slope where the difference in height of the contours is more than 20m. It is a site where a long narrow sloped area touches the front 6m road. On the lower floor (2nd basement floor-1st floor ), there are spaces used as cafes and workshops, with masses configured to face the road. The upper part of the object using the slope (2nd floor-3rd floor) is a residential area with a yard and a view.

This residential space properly utilizes the slopes and the balance between the external expanses created as it gradually retreats from the front road and the mass that determines the shape highlights the architect's sense. Buildings expressed with simple masses and materials are arranged as long masses in a north-south direction, bringing the exterior territories from the south and west and the panoramic view of Heyri Village that can be seen from these spaces in the building. In addition, the long mass of the residential floor intersects with the three gardens and the courtyard, creating a three-dimensional residential space where natural light flows into the inside of the house because of various contacts between the residential unit and external spaces.

In particular, the courtyard is vertically connected from the residential floor to the exhibition area on the lower floor. The visual connection of the spaces from the entrance, which is the beginning of the residential quarters, to the corridor, the master bedroom, and the children's room, also creates spatial blocking. This is an architectural device that secures communication and privacy for family members.

 

The separation and arrangement of the masses of the upper and lower floors that are revealed throughout the object were designed with consideration of the buildings on both sides of the site that will be built in the future. The relationship between buildings in this way reflects the architect's will to conform to the Master Plan of Heyri Village, and these efforts are an important factor in the landscape of Heyri Village.

오브젝트

오브젝트는 긴 시간동안 해외 생활을 해온 장년의 가족을 위해 지어진 공간이다. 현재 하층부에는 작업 및 전시공간, 카페로 사용되는 공간들이 있으며, 건축물 상층부에는 4인 가족을 위한 주거 공간이 있다. 주어진 대지 조건 안에서 건축물 상층부에 가족을 위한 주거 공간의 배치는 오브젝트의 형태를 결정짓는 가장 중요한 요소다.

 

해당 대지는 등고의 높이차가 20m 이상 발생되는 남사면의 급경사지다. 전면 6m도로에 닿는 부분이 좁고 경사방향으로 긴 형상의 대지인데, 저층부(지하 2층 - 지상 1층)의 경우 도로와 대면하도록 매스를 구성하고, 카페와 작업실 등으로 사용되는 공간들이 있다. 경사지를 활용하는 오브젝트의 상층부(지상 2층 - 지상 3층)는 마당과 조망을 가진 주거공간이다.

이 주거공간은 경사지를 적절하게 활용하고 있는데, 전면 도로에서부터 점차 물러나면서 만들어지는 외부 공간들과 이 형태를 결정짓는 매스의 균형감은 건축가의 센스를 돋보이게 한다. 단순한 매스와 재료로 표현된 건축물은 남북방향의 긴 매스로 배치되어, 남측과 서측을 향하는 외부 공간과 이러한 공간들에서 바라볼 수 있는 헤이리마을의 탁트인 조망을 건축물로 끌어들인다. 또한, 주거층의 긴 매스는 3개의 마당과 중정 공간에서 교차되는데 단위 주거공간과 외부공간이 다양하게 접촉으로 자연스러운 채광이 집 안까지 어이지는 입체적인 주거공간을 만들어낸다.

특히, 주거 공간이 위치한 층으로부터 중정은 하층부의 전시공간까지 수직으로 연결된다. 주거 공간의 시작인 현관부터 복도, 안방, 자녀방까지 이어지는 공간의 시각적 연결은 더불어 공간적인 차단의 역할을 수행한다. 이는 가족구성원간의 커뮤니케이션과 프라이버시를 확보하는 건축적 장치이다.

 

오브젝트 전반적으로 드러나는 저층부와 상층부 매스의 분리 및 배치는 향후 동일한 조건을 가지고 건축될 대지 양 옆의 건축물까지 고려되어 설계로 나타난 것이다. 이렇게 건축 간에 맺어지는 관계는 헤이리마을의 마스터플랜에 부합하고자 하는 건축가의 의지가 반영되어 있다. 이러한 노력은 건축 인프라로 구성된 헤이리마을의 경관에 중요한 요소로 작동할 수 있을 것이다.
