LODBROK RESTAURANT

The name for this place was chosen in honor of a legendary Viking - Lodbrok. It became a core of the whole concept of the restaurant. Scandinavia means strong wind, grey sea, strong people. The visitors get such associations owing to the interior of the restaurant. To achieve this effect, specific materials and techniques were used.

It was decided to keep the layout open to achieve maximum natural light to fill the space. Two symmetrical bar counters executed from concrete with flintstone became a centre of the hall - these materials being a symbol of staunchness and fortitude. The whole interior is executed in neutral subdued shades - different tones of grey with patches of warm hues. For example, all cabinetry - tabletops, waiters’ posts, benches and bar stools - are made of bleached oak with a rough, untreated texture. Huge chandeliers decorated with sedge are reminiscent of endless expanses of the north with faded grass. The point-light droplights and mirrors of irregular shape, the tables hanging in the air complement the interior with distinctiveness, sternness and adventurism inherent in real Vikings.

로드브룩 레스토랑

이곳의 이름은 전설적인 바이킹 로드브룩(Lodbrok)을 기리기 위해 선택되었다. 그것은 식당의 전체 개념의 핵심이 된 스칸디나비아는 강한 바람, 회색 바다, 강한 사람들을 의미한다. 방문자들은 레스토랑의 인테리어 덕분에 그런 이미지를 연상하게 된다. 이러한 효과를 얻기 위하여 특정한 재료와 기술을 사용했다.

최대한의 자연광으로 공간을 채우기 위해서 레이아웃을 열어두기로 했다. 플린스톤으로 된 콘크리트로 이루어진 두 개의 대칭적인 바 카운터는 홀의 중심이 되었다. 이 재료들은 견고함과 정신력의 상징이다. 일부 따뜻한 색조가 있는 서로 다른 회색 톤의 전체 인테리어는 중립적이고 차분한 음영을 띤다. 예를 들어, 테이블 상단, 웨이터의 자리, 벤치, 술집용 높은 의자 같은 모든 것은 거칠고 처리되지 않은 질감으로 표백된 떡갈나무로 만들어진다.

사초로 장식된 거대한 샹들리에는 빛바랜 잔디가 있는 북쪽의 끝없이 넓게 트인 곳을 연상시킨다. 포인트 조명과 규칙적이지 않은 모양의 거울, 공중에 걸린 테이블은 실제 바이킹의 고유한 독특함, 근엄함, 모험심과 함께 내부를 보완한다.
