"Categorical / right angle of the character, / of the spirit, of the heart. / I looked at that character / and I found myself "

The house is located in the western area of the city of Cordoba, in an urban neighbourhood that has large green areas, such as La Costanera del Rio Suquia, the Botanical Garden, the Arroyo El Infiernillo, and several ravines. In a minimum plot of 12.5m x 21m in front of Infiernillo, a 200m² house was built for a family of young professionals. The land had a natural slope of one meter ten (1.10m) descending towards the corner, given this characteristic it was decided to work on two levels, one yard (plus 1.50mts) and another access (plus 0.10mts).

To give the projected level, the patio was filled with the material extracted from the excavation of the foundations. The house offers a sober image towards the corner, it is a reinforced concrete box, with openings in horizontal slits that in turn are protected by a curtain of poplars that prevents the direct arrival of the sun's rays.An independent structure of reinforced concrete was used to obtain free plants, 6x10mts by cassette reinforced concrete slabs that are visible in the ground floor. There are two accesses, one pedestrian and one vehicular, each located on different sides of the house.

The ground floor offers to the corner, a homogeneous image with a metallic grid that acts as a visual filter, as a security element and as a base, which separates and frees the ground floor of the two upper levels, decreasing the visual impact of the triple height, contains the services and accesses. The austere and impermeable exterior image gives rise, when entering, to large transparent sliding surfaces that link the garage - barbecue area - games room with the patio, by means of a stairway. Towards the patio the house opens completely. The first floor contains the integrated kitchen and dining room areas. On the second floor there are two bedrooms and a desk, which can be transformed into a third bedroom, the divisions are made with light partitions to allow changes. All levels are linked with a metal staircase of two sections that also leads to the accessible terrace.

All rooms have cross ventilation and the possibility of entering sunlight at different times of the day. A rotisserie on the ground floor and a home on the first floor, work as heating in winter through ducts that run through the house. The exit to the roof terrace works as a chimney that extracts the hot air in summer. Through a game of contrasts, the house becomes, therefore, an urban antihero, where the rough exterior and the fluid and changing interior coexist, with the challenge of reclaiming the urban neighborhood as a facilitator of the development of a contemporary architecture that in turn reinforce the identity of a characteristic area of the city, and of solution to the problems of living that condition us today.

집은 코르도바(Cordoba)시의 서부에 위치하고 있으며, 라 코스타 네라 델 리오 수아이아(La Costanera del Rio Suquia), 식물원(Botanical Garden), 아로요 엘 인피 에르 니요(Arroyo El Infiernillo) 및 여러 산골짜기가 있는 도시 지역 근처에 있다. 인페레르니요(Infiernillo) 앞 12.5m x 21m의 작은 대지가 있다. 200m² 규모의 집은 전문직에 종사하는 젊은 건축주들을 위해 지어졌다. 이 대지는 모서리쪽으로 1.10m의 자연 경사가 있었다. 이러한 특성 때문에 한쪽의 마당(1.50mts)과 다른쪽에서의 접근(0.10mts)을 염두하고 두 가지 레벨로 작업하기로 결정했다.

안뜰은 기초 발굴에서 추출된 재료로 채워 예상했던 레벨 차이를 메꿨다. 집은 모서리쪽으로 차분한 이미지를 제공하며, 철근 콘크리트 박스형태로 수평 슬릿에 개구부가 있고 태양 광선이 직접 도달하지 못하도록 하는 포플러(poplar) 커튼으로 보호된다. 지상층에서 보이는 카세트 철근 콘크리트 슬래브는 6x10mts의 자유로운 정원을 얻기 위한 것으로, 독립적인 철근 콘크리트 구조를 사용했다. 집의 서로 다른 면에, 각각의 보행자와 차량을 위한 두 개의 출입구가 있다. 1층은 시각적인 필터 역할을 하는 균일한 이미지의 금속성 그리드가 보안 및 기본 요소로 작용한다.

그리고 이는 지상층과 그 위의 두개층을 분리하고 자유화함으로써 삼중 높이의 시각적 영향을 줄이고, 서비스와 접근의 기능을 담는 역할을 한다. 견고하고 불투과성의 외부 이미지는 집 안으로 들어가면서 점차 차올라 거대한 투명 슬라이딩 표면까지 이어지는데, 이는 계단의 도움으로 차고 - 바베큐 공간 - 테라스와 게임 룸을 연결하며 안뜰 쪽으로 집이 완전히 개방된다. 1층에는 주방과 식당이 통합되어 있다. 2층에는 두개의 침실과 3번째 침실로 탈바꿈할 수 있는 서가가 있고, 이러한 변화를 주기 위해 공간 사이는 가벼운 칸막이로 분할 되어 있다. 모든 층은 접근 가능한 테라스로 이어지는 두개의 금속 계단과 연결되어 있다.

모든 방들은 교차 환기가 가능하여 하루 중 다른 시간대에 일광을 받을 수 있다. 1층에있는 로티 세리(rotisserie)와 방들은 집을 관통하는 덕트를 통해 겨울철 난방이 된다. 지붕 테라스로 나가는 출구는 여름에 뜨거운 공기를 빨아들이는 굴뚝 역할을 한다. 거친 외장과 유동적이고 변화하는 내부 공간이 공존하는 대조를 통해 집은 도시의 반 영웅(antihero)이 된다. 이와 동시에, 도시 이웃을 현대 건축 발전의 조력자로 재확보하면서, 도시의 특징적인 지역의 정체성과 오늘날 우리가 살고 있는 그 조건에 대한 해결책을 다시 강화한다.
