In the middle of nature at the Vinkeveense plassen, 'i29 interior architects' and 'Chris Collaris architects' designed a tiny holiday home.

With a footprint of only 55㎡ this house still has a luxurious feel of space, and all around panoramas to the surrounding nature. This compact home is built for a family of four, including a living room, a kitchen/dining room, a patio, three bedrooms, one bathroom and two toilets. The layout is developed from the inside-out, the smart arrangement of functions make use of every ㎠.

All volumes have big windows or sliding doors which can be opened completely to fully merge the inside with the outside. On the inside, the dimensions and ceiling heights of the different volumes clearly articulate the separate area’s and functions in the house. Long sightlines crossing the outside patio provide a visual connection. By opening up large sliding doors of the patio the volumes of the kitchen and living are physically connected.

Custom furniture and integrated cabinets accentuate the graphical quality on the inside. We made use of simple materials like natural oak wooden panels -or stained black to combine with the rough pinewood facade- and a continuing polished concrete floor.

We strived for a design strategy in which architecture and interior come together in a model combination. Each volume has its own program. By linking interior components to the architecture and vice versa, the result is a high quality project not dependent of expensive materials or technical show. In every detail we aimed for the ultimate space efficient solution. Every aspect of the design is approached to produce a pure and unified experience to leave a strong impression.

Making quality projects is, in our opinion, not always ‘the bigger the better’. With simple yet smart interventions this project is of the highest standard and at the same time energy efficient, eco-friendly, and built with a small footprint. In this sense it’s a model example of a tiny house; smart, comfortable but with no consessions to quality in both the interior and architectural design; small is beautiful.

Vinkeveense Plassen의 자연의 한가운데에, 'i29 interior architects'와 'Chris Collaris Architects'는 작은 휴일 집을 설계했다.

55㎡ 밖에 안 되는 이 집은 넓은 공간감을 가지고 있고, 주변은 온통 자연으로 멋진 경관을 제공한다.이 소형 주택은 4명의 가족을 위해 거실, 주방과 식당, 마당, 침실 3개, 샤워실 1개, 화장실 2개로 구성했다. 전체적인 배치 계획은 각 기능의 적절한 배치를 통해 안에서 밖으로 발전시켰다.

호수와 가까운 길게 늘어진 섬에 자리 잡은 건물 볼륨은 주변 호수의 조망과 햇빛의 방향과 관련이 있다. 볼륨을 네 부분으로 나눔으로써 각각의 파노라마식 경관과 투과하는 햇빛은 구체화된다. 외관상으로는 다양한 크기의 상호 연관된 볼륨들이 모든 각도에서 다르게 보이는 조각적 이미지를 만든다. 이 조각적 느낌을 강조하기 위해서, 건물의 모든 면은 보이지 않는 지붕마감과 목재외관의 붙박이 창틀로 미니멀한 디자인을 하였다.

각 볼륨마다 제각기 프로그램이 있다. 모든 볼륨에는 내부와 외부를 통합해주는 완전히 열 수 있는 큰 창문이나 슬라이딩 도어가 있다. 내부는 서로 다른 면적과 천정고로 공간적 기능적 분리를 명확하게 한다. 외부 마당을 가로지르는 긴 시야를 통해 시각적인 연결을 제공하고, 마당의 큰 미닫이문을 열어줌으로써 부엌과 거실을 물리적으로 연결한다.

맞춤 가구와 붙박이 캐비닛은 실내에서 그래픽 품질을 두드러지게 한다. 건물의 주재료인 천연 참나무 나무 판넬(또는 검은 색으로 칠한 거친 소나무 판넬)과 연속적인 광택 콘크리트 바닥은 단순함을 드러낸다.

이 집은 건축과 인테리어가 함께하는 디자인 전략을 위해 노력했다. 인테리어적인 요소를 건축에 연결하거나 건축적 요소를 인테리어에 연결함으로써, 고가의 재료나 기술적인 쇼에 의존하지 않는 퀄리티 높은 프로젝트가 되는 것이다. 모든 디테일면에서 궁극적으로 효율적인 공간을 만들려고 했다. 또한 디자인의 모든 측면에서 깨끗하고 통일된 느낌을 줌으로써 강한 인상을 남기고자 했다.

양질의 프로젝트를 만드는 것이 항상 '크면 클수록 좋다'는 것은 아니다. 심플함과 스마트함으로써 이 프로젝트는 최고 수준을 지향하고 있으며, 에너지 효율적이고 친환경적인 작은 공간으로 구축된다. 이런 의미에서 이 집은 작은 집의 표본이다. 스마트하고, 편안하지만 인테리어와 건축 디자인 모두에서 품질에 대한 회의가 없었다. "small is beautiful."
