Arttenders와 Studio Spass가 디자인한 다기능 예술 놀이터인 Baltimore Bend는 볼티모어 광장에서 빛을 발하고 있다. Almere 지방 자치 단체에 의해서 작업이 이루어졌다.
볼티모어 벤드(Baltimore Bend)는 알메르 부이텐(Almere Buiten) 중심부의 도시 재개발 사업의 일부분이다. Arttenders는 Studio Spass의 Jaron Korvinus 및 Daan Mens와 협력하여 개발했다. 놀이터가 갖는 전통적인 개념을 더 높은 수준으로 끌어올려 주었다.
The multi-functional art playground Baltimore Bend, designed by Arttenders and Studio Spass, is shining in all its brilliance in the Baltimore Square. The work is commissioned by the municipality of Almere.
Baltimore Bend is part of the urban renewal of the center of Almere Buiten. It has been developed by Arttenders in collaboration with Jaron Korvinus and Daan Mens of Studio Spass. Together, they have raised the traditional concept of a playground to a higher level.
Arttenders는 디자인 과정에 주변을 함께 포함시켜 Almere Buiten에서 광범위한 지원을 위한 기반을 구축했다. 예를 들면 Almere Buiten의 어린이들은 Baltimoreplein 광장에 이상적인 놀이터를 찾을 수 있게 해주었다. 또한, 공예품은 예술 놀이터를 위한 네 가지 디자인에 영감을 주었다. 디자인 타이틀인 Baltimore Bend는 Almere Buiten 주민들을 통해 이루어진 공개 투표에서 선정된 것이다. 작년 가을에 Arttenders와 Studio Spass는 Mannen van Staal과 협력하여 강철 구조물을 개발했다.
잘라낸 듯한 유기적 형태는 알메르의 도시에서 영감을 받은 것으로, 다채롭고 실험적인 건축물이 있는 알메르의 도시와 알메르의 물, 도시와 주민들의 다양성이 존재한다. 따라서 파란색은 인근 지역에서 떠온 물의 색상을 반영한 것이다. 게다가 어린이 놀이터는 예술 작품 그 이상이다. 예술 작품은 다양한 대상을 위해 다양한 기능을 제공해준다. 젊은이, 노인, 장애인 및 Almere Buiten 방문객을 위해 새로워진 볼티모어 광장은 만남의 장소이자 스포츠 경기장 및 레크리에이션 허브 역할을 한다. 볼티모어 벤드는 모두를 위한 무언가가 있는 곳이다 !
Arttenders has generated a broad support base in Almere Buiten by involving the neighborhood in the design process. Children from Almere Buiten have for example helped figuring out their ideal playground for the square at Baltimoreplein. Their crafts served as inspiration for four designs for the artistic playground. The design titles Baltimore Bend was declared the winner in a public vote held amongst residents of Almere Buiten. During last year’s fall, Arttenders and Studio Spass collaborated with Mannen van Staal to develop the steel construction in their workshop.
The organic shape with its cut outs are inspired by the city of Almere: her colorful and experimental architecture, the water of Almere and the diversity of the city and her inhabitants. The blue color is therefore a reflection of the water and color samples taken from the neighborhood. Besides this, the applied artwork is more than just a playground for children; the artwork serves multiple functions for diverse target groups. For young people, elderly, disabled and visitors of Almere Buiten, the renewed Baltimore Square acts as a meeting place, sporting venue and recreational hub. Baltimore Bend has something for everyone!
밝은 색상의 강철 구조물에 있는 곡선 모양과 천공은 다양한 지역을 탐험할 수 있는 재미있고 흥미로운 경로가 만들어진다. 추상적이고 혁신적인 디자인은 아이들로 하여금 환상과 창의성을 활용하여 자신만의 놀이 환경을 만들도록 자극해준다. 열린 형태의 작품은 부모와 아이 모두에게 선명한 시야를 보장하고 작품을 도시 환경과 직접적으로 연결시켜준다.
Through the curved shape and perforations in the brightly colored steel construction, a playful and interesting route is created which invites for exploration of different areas. The abstract and innovative design stimulates children to use their fantasy and creativity to make their own play environment. The open shape of the artwork ensures a clear view for parent and child and connects the artwork with its direct urban surroundings.
