Two Paper Houses

정저우 공항에 들어선 투 페이퍼 하우스는 판지로 형성된 전시 공간 1.0, 2.0에 이어서 골판지로 만들어진 전시 공간 3.0이다. 정저우 공항 경제 구역은 정저우 정원 엑스포 공원에 지어졌기 때문에, 이러한 작업을 통해 유휴 대규모 상업 단지를 재생하고 재사용하고 있다는 것을 보여준다. 디자이너는 적극적인 건축적 개입을 통해 예술 전시를 도시 생활과 연계하고자 했다. 공공 공간은 지역 브랜드 휴즈 커피(HUGS COFFEE)와 도굿(Doghood)의 협력으로 ‘커피하우스’와 ‘북하우스’를 구성할 수 있게 되었다. 원형 평면을 가진 두 개의 ‘집’은 사다리꼴 모양의 공간에 자리 잡고 있다. 디자이너들은 완전한 원을 다양한 크기의 두 개의 반원으로 나누었다. 이것은 테이크아웃 공간과 내부 디스플레이와 판매 공간을 만들면서 동시에 곡선 공간의 안정성을 확보했다.

Two Paper Houses at Zhengzhou Airport is Exhibition Space 3.0, following exhibition spaces 1.0 and 2.0, which were formed from cardboard. As the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone was built on the Zhengzhou Garden Expo Park, these works demonstrate the regeneration and reuse of an idle large-scale commercial complex. The designers sought to connect the art exhibition to city life through active architectural interventions. The public space is a collaboration between local brands HUGS COFFEE and Doghood, which allows for the formation of a ‘coffee house’ and a ‘book house’. The two ‘houses’, which have a circular floor plan, are nestled in a trapezoid-shaped space. The designers divided the complete circle into two semicircles of different sizes. This created a take-out area and an internal display and sales area, while also ensuring the stability of the curved space.
