브라질 디자이너 미구엘 사보이아가 제작한 상호적인 다기능 유치원 가구 시리즈이다. 리스본의 학교 아토레 협동조합의 의뢰로 새로운 조립식 교실을 제공하기 위해 각각의 다양한 놀이와 학습 환경에 따라 조립할 수 있도록 일련의 빌딩 블록을 만들었다.

 

QUOIN 시리즈는 다양한 모양과 크기의 모듈식 가구로 5개와 합판으로 만든 트롤리와 레고와 같은 원리로 구성되어 있어 어린이와 어른 모두 쉽게 조립하고 분해할 수 있다. QUOIN 블록을 결합하면 벤치, 스툴, 테이블, 선반과 같은 교실의 구조물을 비롯하여 아이들이 자신만의 건축 환경을 상상하고 만들 수 있도록 해준다. 놀이와 숨기기 공간, 계단, 다리, 모험 산책로 등 무엇이든 가능하게 해준다.

QUOIN is a series of interactive and multi-functional kindergarten furniture created by Brazilian designer Miguel Saboya. Commissioned by the Lisbon-based school, Cooperativa ATorre to furnish its new prefab classroom, Miguel Saboya created a series of building blocks which can be assembled for varying play-and-learning landscapes.

 

QUOIN blocks combine to create classroom structures such as benches, stools, tables and shelves as well as several possibilities of play and hiding spaces, stairs, bridges and adventure trails that challenge children to imagine and create their own built environment. The QUOIN series consists of 5 modular furniture pieces of different shapes and sizes as well as a trolley made out of plywood with Lego-like interlocking systems that can be assembled and disassembled easily by both children and adults.
