The stadium is for the 2018 world Cup in Russia. The exterior of the stadium is a dome. Lightweight, modern, high-tech metal frame supporting structures, forms the form of a cover-visor over the stands. The 330-meter-diameter dome, which is associated with the sky, refers to the space theme by its appearance, reminding that Samara is one of the Russian centers of space industry. The architectural image of the stadium is resolved in unity with the surrounding area. An innovative solution for distributing the flow of viewers to different client groups, as well as using terrain differences.
2018 러시아 월드컵을 위해 지어진 사마라 축구경기장은 돔형식의 축구 전용 경기장이다. 가볍고 현대적인 금속 프레임 구조체가 돔의 형태를 지지한다. 지름 330m의 하늘과 연결된다는 의미의 돔은 사마라가 러시아 우주 산업의 중심 도시임을 상기시키며, 외형만으로도 우주의 이미지를 떠올리게 한다. 경기장은 주변과 조화롭게 어우러질뿐 아니라, 다양한 목적의 관중을 위해 혁신적인 공간 사용이 제시됐다.
