This is a cafe located near Hwaseong Haenggung Palace in Gyeonggi-do.
Usually, cafes are located on the first floor, but this place was a two-story house.

Due to the characteristics of Haenggung-dong, it was a cafe with the entire structure of old houses, and stores with strong industrial tendencies were common interiors.

So I wanted to decorate this place a little special. I wanted to come up to the second floor and make it a comfortable and good place to rest for a while.
"A_neukgam" is literally a cozy space. Using wooden plywood, we created an atmosphere of warmth and luxury from trees and finished the walls and ceilings integrally.

이곳은 화성 행궁에 위치한 카페입니다, 보통의 카페는 1층에 위치하는것이 흔한 일이지만 이곳은 2층 가정집이었습니다. 행궁동 특징상 전체 구옥구조의 카페였고 인더스트리얼 성향이 강한 매장들이 흔한 인테리어의 모습이었습니다.
이곳을 조금 특별하게 꾸미고 싶었습니다. 어느 흔한 카페말고 2층까지 올라와서 잠깐 쉬어갈수 있는 편안하고 좋은공간으로, 가정집에 낮은 천정을 철거 하자 생각보다 높은 천장에 환호성을 지르고 생각했습니다. 여기가 내가 행궁동이라는곳에서 가장 예쁘고 특별하게 만들자하구요. 

 

아늑감은 말그대로 아늑한 공간입니다 이 아늑한 공간을 꾸미고 싶었고, 나무 합판을 이용해 나무가 주는 따뜻함과 고급스러움을 즐기고 벽체와 천장을 일체감있게 마감처리 하였습니다.  코로나 시대에 물가 상승으로, 공사 견적이 힘들었지만 이곳 수원에서는 새로운 시도였던것 같습니다.
