The project is located in the south of Kaohsiung and is close to the 60-meter wide Shidai Avenue. The land is about 1800 ping which allowed us to create a relatively complete living environment encompassing both a rest and dining space. The project occupies a wide stretch of land but unfortunately the nighttime lighting of this area in Kaohsiung is insufficient. With the increasing awareness of climate change, one of the most common problems in urban areas is the “urban heat island”. I combined the trees, organic building, landscape pool and modularized eating spaces, hope to move in a green direction.
At the main entrance of the restaurant, we deliberately created a bridge through the pool to accentuate the mood of guests as they enter. The nearly 120-meter landscape pool gives a strong impression of the building and creates a connection between the building and the water. Surrounding the property are over 250 large trees further reducing the carbon emissions from the project. Furthermore, lots of greenery helps to filter out the light waves.
Materials need to be chosen because they are sustainable and reusable. I chose easily sourceable and replaceable materials. Ending up with a modest total of 75% usage of recyclable materials. By keeping the components of our projects modularized, detachable, recyclable and variable. We can achieve a spectacular looking building inside and out while protecting our environment.
The space ratio is based mainly on the service function line, and the natural light that enters the indoor space. There is always the possibility that a large-sized dining space is prone to a lack of light and that indirectly causes indoor air convection problems. The glass frame is placed in an ideal location along with some greenery, and making the space floor a permeable layer of the soil, in addition also increases the possibility of natural light entering the indoor space. Contrasting the artificial light source with the natural light source helps to blur the boundary between the interior and exterior space. The sense of existence is reflected in the changes in light and shadow, which helps to awaken the cherished position of every moment in our lives.
It may look like a typical restaurant at first glance but it is paving the way in terms of sustainability and doing its best to reduce its carbon footprint in Taiwan.
지속가능성을 추구하는 물과 녹지의 식당, 그린 아일
이 프로젝트는 가오슝 시 남쪽의 시다이 거리 근교에 자리잡았다. 꽤 넓은 대지에서 건축가는 휴식공간과 식사공간을 모두 아우르는 비교적 완벽한 생활환경을 만들어낼 수 있었다. 이 프로젝트는 넓은 땅을 차지하고 있지만 아쉽게도 프로젝트가 자리한 지역의 야간 조명은 불충분한 면이 있었다. 기후 변화에 대한 인식이 높아지면서, 도시 지역의 가장 흔한 문제 중 하나는 열섬현상이다. 건축가는 나무, 유기적인 건물, 조경용 풀, 모듈화된 먹거리를 조합해 녹색건축을 바라는 마음을 나타냈다.
레스토랑의 정문에는 손님들이 입장하는 분위기를 강조하기 위해 수영장을 통하는 다리를 만들었다. 거의 120m에 달하는 길이를 가진 이 수영장은 건물에 강한 인상을 주고 건물과 물 사이의 연결을 만들어낸다. 건물 주변에는 250그루가 넘는 나무들이 심겨져 프로젝트 전체의 탄소 배출량을 크게 줄일 수 있었다. 게다가, 넓게 조성된 녹지는 빛을 부드럽게 걸러내어준다.
재료는 지속가능하고 재사용이 가능한 자재를 선택하고자 했다. 건축가는 쉽게 구할 수 있고 교체할 수 있는 재료를 찾는데 노력을 기울였고, 전체 자재 중 75%에 달하는 자재를 재활용이 가능한 제품으로 구성할 수 있었다. 프로젝트의 구성 요소를 모듈화, 분리, 재활용 및 가변적으로 구성하고자 했다. 건축가는 환경을 보호하면서 안과 밖을 내다보는 장관을 이룰 수 있었음을 매우 뿌듯해했다.
공간 비분할은 주로 서비스 공간과 실내 공간으로 들어오는 자연광을 기준으로 잡았다. 대형 식당 공간은 항상 빛이 부족하기 쉽고 간접적으로 환기 문제를 일으킬 가능성이 있다. 유리 프레임은 약간의 녹지와 함께 이상적인 위치에 놓이고, 바닥 슬라브를 흙의 투과층으로 만들 뿐 아니라, 실내 공간으로 자연광이 들어올 가능성을 증가시킨다 인공조명은 자연광과 대조되게 내보와 외부 공간 사이의 경계를 흐리게 한다. 존재감은 빛과 그림자의 변화에 반영되어 순간순간의 소중한 위치를 일깨우는데 도움을 준다.
언뜻 보기에는 전형적인 식당처럼 보일지 모르지만, 지속가능성의 측면에서 길을 닦고 있으면 대만에서 탄소배출을 줄이기 위해 노력한 프로젝트다.
