Andradas Apartment

The project for this small apartment is located on Rua dos Andradas, in the historical center of Porto Alegre. It is in a 1950’s modernist building which currently has this very interesting feature of being mixed use in all its 25 floors.

The tiny apartment with only 29m² results of the segmentation from a pre-existing commercial room which was sould out for housing. The owner commissioned the project with the idea of exploring the living room of the apartment at its most. We designed a very simple layout, eliminating any attempt to segment the space to set up places of usual activities such as "sleeping" or "cooking" in order to enhance the living room of the small apartment. We carried out a quick execution work, in which the interventions were basically furnishing design.

In the project there is an aerial woodboard that divides the place into two spaces without necessarily segmenting it with walls. We created an entrance hall followed by a linear kitchen that includes the laundry room. Opposite to the woodboard is the living room, which includes a hidden bedroom kept out of sight in a closet by a reclining bed.

We used naval plywood throughout the furniture with some colored faces. The idea of the “plan” is represented by the aerial woodboard, by the workbench placed below the window sill, and it is also visible in the rest of the furniture through its well-marked side faces.

안드라다스 아파트

이 조그마한 아파트 프로젝트는 포르투 알레그레의 역사적인 장소인 루아 도스 안드라다스에 위치했다. 그 중에서도 25층 전체에 섞여들어가는 매우흥미로운 특징을 가진 1950년대의 모더니즘 건물 내부에 자리한다.

29m²에 불과한 이 작은 호실은 기존에 상업용 객실에서 분활되어 주거용으로 사용되고 있었다. 건축주는 기껏해야 아파트의 거실을 바꿔보자는 생각으로 프로젝트를 의뢰했다. 건축가는 작은 아파트의 거실을 개선한다는 목표 아래에서 '잠자기'나 '요리하기' 같은 일상의 생활을 지원하는 공간을 세워내고자 했다. 그 과정 속에서 공간을 분할하려는 시도를 없애면서 매우 간단한 레이아웃이 만들어졌고, 빠른 시공과 기본적인 디자인을 제공하고자 했다.

내부에는 공간을 벽으로 분할하기 보다 공중에 떠있는 목판을 통해 두 공간을 나누는 시도가 들어갔다. 입구에 홀을 만들도 세탁실이 있는 선형 주방을 만들었다. 목ㅍㄴ의 맞은편으로는 거실이 보이는데. 거실에는 벽장 안에 침대를 숨겨 숨겨진 침실이 포함된다.

색채가 있는 면을 만들고자 가구 전체에 네이비얼 합판을 사용했다. 평면의 아이디어는 떠있는 목판과, 창턱 아래에 놓인 작업대 등으로 표현되며, 잘 표시된 측면을 통해 나머지 가구에서도 보여진다.
