This is a photography studio which is designed for the photographer Mr. Zhou Wei. The base of the project is an industrial factory building. Nearly 7m height of the space and continuous triangular roof truss are typical features. The height of entrance of the original factory building is lowered, and placed a black steel box with a rotation of about 15 degrees as the entrance. The action of rotation avoids seeing the interior space too directly through the entrance and creates a certain degree of ambiguity.

The photography office area is divided into two parts, the north side of the space has the functional rooms and the void space on the south side is reception area and waiting area. The conference room on the second floor looks like a white box inserted. The vertical and crossed relationship of the space greatly improves the dramatic sense of the space, which not only creates the privacy of the lobby area, but also enriches the experience of the users who are in the conference room.

The most appealing works of Mr. Zhou Wei are the black-and-white photographs. Black and white are the dominant tones of the whole space, and the pure artistic atmosphere of space is highlighted in a concise way. In the void space, The front desk, the entrance box, the door of the studio, the steel ladder and a series of large building components are processed and they are very complete and full of the sense of sculpture, which has naturally become the “art exhibits”.

줌 웨이 스튜디오

이곳은 사진작가 저우 웨이(Zhou Wei)를 위해 설계된 사진 스튜디오이다. 프로젝트는 산업 공장 건물을 기반으로 한다. 약 7m 높이의 공간과 연속되는 삼각 지붕 트러스가 주요 특징이다. 기존 공장 건물의 입구 높이를 낮추고 15도 정도 회전한 검은색 철제 상자를 입구에 배치했다. 입구의 회전은 입구를 통해 내부 공간이 바로 보이는 것을 피하고 어느 정도의 모호성을 만든다.

사무실 영역은 두 부분으로 나뉘는데, 공간의 북쪽에는 기능실이 있고 남쪽의 빈 공간은 리셉션과 대기실이 있다. 2층 회의실은 하얀 상자가 삽입된 것 같다. 공간의 수직 교차 관계는 극적인 공간감을 향상시키고, 로비 구역의 프라이버시를 조성할 뿐만 아니라 회의실에 있는 사용자의 경험을 더욱 풍부하게 한다.

저우 웨이의 가장 매력적인 작품은 흑백 사진이다. 흑백은 전체 공간의 지배적인 톤이며 공간의 순수한 예술적인 분위기를 간결하게 부각한다. 빈 공간의 프런트, 입구 박스, 스튜디오의 문, 철제 사다리와 일련의 대형 구성요소들은 완전하고 조형미가 넘치며 자연스럽게“ 예술 전시품”이 된다.
