CANOPY JACKSON SQUARE

CANOPY, headquartered in San Francisco, is a shared office company. It opened its first public office at San Francisco Pacific Heights in 2016, and CANOPY Jackson Square is the second shared office to open in 2018. It will introduce the Financial District Office, which is currently working on its third project Inspired by the artists and radicals who brought to life San Francisco’s North Beach and Jackson Square neighborhoods in the 1950s, CANOPY was designed to be a profound departure from the standard workspace. Strong site-lines organize the 13,000 square foot space, with CANOPY’s signature glass-enclosed private offices lining one side, and a café by Jane and open workspaces on the other.

In the center, an organic lounge is a place-making architectural tour-de-force intended to encourage both casual conversations and work meetings. A literal, dramatic architectural canopy was built around three columns as a freestanding fanning structure that doubles as book and magazine shelving. Private offices are sealed by high-tech Modernus glass partitions and feature soft floors and ceiling surfaces, inciting quality conversations. Common spaces have slated ceiling insulation throughout, as well as CANOPY’s signature foam light fixtures, which provide additional sound control.

Outdoor Work Terrace A rare and standout feature of CANOPY Jackson Square is an innovative outdoor work terrace encompassing 1,500 square feet with breathtaking views of San Francisco. Three zones encompass café-style seating, a casual lounge space, and workspaces for one-on-one collaboration or meetings complete with marble tables and high-quality, ergonomic, heated seating by Galanter & Jones that enable longer and more comfortable outdoor work sessions. 

Palette, Products & Finishes A sense of serenity and feminine qualities contrast and harmonize with the architectural textured black surfaces and exposed concrete. Green tones echo the oxidized copper accents of the vernacular Coppola Sentinel building, while unsaturated pink touches pay tribute to the historic stucco facade of City Lights, the legendary beatnik and activist bookstore down the street. Verdi Alpi marble-infused tables and elements help bring the natural world into the space.

캐노피 잭슨 스퀘어

CANOPY는 샌프란시스코에 본사를 두고 있는 공유오피스이다. 2016년, 샌프란시스코 퍼시픽 하이츠(Pacific Heights)에 첫 공유오피스를 오픈했고 CANOPY 잭슨 스퀘어는 2018년에 오픈한 두번째 공유오피스이다. 현재 세 번째 프로젝트를 진행하고 있다. 1950년대에 샌프란시스코의 노스비치(North Beach)와 잭슨 스퀘어 지역에 활기를 불어넣은 예술가와 급진주의자 들에게 영감을 받은 CANOPY는 일반적인 사무공간에서 크게 벗어나게 설계되었다. 약 1,200㎡의 부지에 CANOPY의 시그니처인 유리로 덮인 개인 사무실이 한쪽을 차지하고, Jane’s 카페와 개방된 작업공간이 다른 한쪽을 차지하고 있다. 
그 중심에, 유기적인 라운지공간은 일상적인 대화와 업무회의를 장려하기 위한 이용자 친화적인 건축적 역작이다. 세 개의 기둥을 중심으로 책과 선반의 역할을 하는 자유로운 부채모양의 구조로서 문자 그대로 극적인 캐노피(CANOPY)가 제작되었다. 개인사무실은 첨단 Modernus 유리 파티션으로 분리되고 바닥과 천장의 마감이 부드러워 수준 높은 대화의 장을 만들어준다. 일반적인 공간에는 전체적으로 천장 단열재뿐만 아니라 추가적인 음향제어 기능이 있는 CANOPY의 대표적인 폼 라이트로 이루어져 있다.

외부 테라스 CANOPY 잭슨 스퀘어의 독특하고 눈에 띄는 특징은 약 140㎡에 달하는 혁신적인 외부 작업 공간인 테라스로서, 샌프란시스코의 숨막히는 경관을 아우른다. 세 개의 구역은 카페 형식의 좌석, 캐주얼라운지 공간 그리고 대리석 탁자와 더 오랫동안 편안하게 야외 업무를 할 수 있도록 하는 Galanter & Jones에서 만든 고품질, 인체공학적 발열 좌석이 완비되어 있어 일대일 협업과 미팅이 가능한 작업 공간으로 이루어져 있다. 

색채, 제품&마감 평온함과 여성적인 특징들은 건축적 질감의 검은 외벽과 노출 콘크리트와 대조되면서도 조화를 이룬다. 녹색 톤은 샌프란시스코의 코폴라 센티넬 (Coppola Sentinel) 빌딩의 산화된 구리의 강조을 따라하는가 하면, 불투명한 분홍 포인트들은 전설적인 비트족과 거리 아래 활동가 서점인 시티 라이트(City Lights)의 역사적인 스터코 외벽에 경의를 표하곤 한다. 베르디 알피(Verdi Alpi)의 대리석 테이블과 구성요소들은 공간에 자연을 끌어들인다.
