AD ARCHITECTURE Office

AD ARCHITECTURE has been insisting on the concept of abandoning designs that are over complicated, and, in order to pursue this kind of perception, we designed our own office as a habitat for soul. The office of AD ARCHITECTURE is located in a creative park renovated from an old factory in Shantou.

 These old houses have witnessed the rise and fall of the city, and with the rapid development and expansion of the city, they are gradually being forgotten or waiting to be rebuilt. Knowing this, we seem to feel their weakness and loneliness, which remind us of the past vitality and unique temperament when we first saw the space.

Does it mean the history it told us just ended here? When all the emotions came up, we started to think about it, and we decided to transform it into a space that can represent itself.

We perceived the inspiration given by space and listened to it instead of changing it too much. In this design, what we need to do well is to respect the original ideology of space and inject new vitality inside.

AD ARCHITECTURE는 지나치게 복잡한 디자인은 지양해왔고, 이런 관점을 추구하기 위해 그들 철학의 본거지로서 사무실을 디자인했다.

이 공간은 산터우에 오래된 공장을 개조한 공원 내에 자리하고 있다. 넓은 공간에 의해 생기는 공간감을 유지하기 위해 지나친 칸막이나 장식을 버리고 재료의 구성을 통해 자연스럽게 원래의 공간과 새로운 것의 융합을 확장했다.

시간의 흐름에 따라 부식되는 공업용 철강과 철 재료를 부가적으로 지어진 부분에 적용했다. 각 재료들의 물성과 독창성을 존중하는 구조는 가능한 한 단순하고 직접적으로 계획했다.

 또한, 원래의 구조를 보존하고 사무실에 기능적 요구를 만족시키는 것과 별개로 사람들이 조용히 생각할 수 있는 공간(Bold Space)을 추가했다. 사무실의 공공 공간을 중심으로 새로운 활력을 불어넣는 두 개의 기능적 공간을 두었으며, 공간 분리로 형성된 다락방은 형태를 강조하고 다른 볼륨들과의 교차점으로 공간을 흥미롭게 변화시켰다.

파티오의 조명 디자인을 바탕으로 완벽에 가까운 공간을 만들고자 했다. 파티오와 외부 사이의 대화를 통해 공간적 느낌은 풍요로워지고 더 많은 경험을 제공한다.
