National Road 37 going from Cheongpyeong to Pocheon was a typical, chaotic street until M State1292 was laid out. Most of the area surrounding this triangular site in Hyeon-ri, Jojong-myeon was a mixture of old and underdeveloped areas. The soft, warm feeling of red brick and the cold, clean feeling of glass blend together. Although it is a commercial building for lease, it is unique in that each facade of the building changes with the variation in materials or placing of the columns. In particular, a garden is created in the rear of the building where the secondary entrance is located to provide a small resting place with green trees, and minimal windows are planned, creating a completely different space from the front area.
엠스테이트1292
청평에서 포천으로 연결되는 37번 국도는 엠스테이트1292가 들어서기 전까지 무질서하고 평범한 가로였다. 조종면 현리의 이 삼각형 형태의 대지 주변은 대부분 오래되고 낙후된 지역의 모습이 혼재된 상태였다. 엠스테이트1292는 붉은 벽돌이 주는 따뜻하고 부드러운 느낌과 유리의 차갑고도 깨끗한 느낌으로 조화를 이룬다. 임대 상가임에도 불구하고 건물의 각각 입면마다 재료나 기둥을 달리 두어 변화를 줬다. 특히, 부출입구가 있는 건축물의 후면은 정원을 조성하여 푸르른 나무와 함께 작은 쉼터가 될 공간을 마련하고, 최소한의 창을 배치하여 정면부와 전혀 다른 공간인 듯 연출한 것을 볼 수 있다.
