Interior Design
DEGW’s interior design followed Microsoft’s global guidelines in a project aimed at focusing on the very best of Italian manufacturing and design. The building has six floors above ground. The ground and first floors accommodate the Customer Area open to the public, showcasing the company’s products and connected by a custom-designed central stairway. The second to fifth floors are reserved for company staff and partners. DEGW has designed the interior architecture focusing on Italian taste in design, furnishing and accessories, creating a warm and welcoming environment using natural materials like wood. DEGW has designed the 7500 m² of the Microsoft headquarters in a free and smoothly-flowing layout. The Open Space work areas have no dedicated workstations: everybody moves around the spaces as required. The non-assigned Open Space workstations on the various operating floors differ from each other in terms of layout and aesthetics in accordance with functions and requirements. Certain areas are more communicative and others more private to create a workspace that is not monotonous and encourages creativity/interaction. The operating areas are distinguished according to the type of work they serve, with carefully designed clusters and special finishes on the furnishing and floors. Distinctive features create subareas to reconcile the creation of transparent spaces with optimum sound/environmental performance.
Smart Platform
The Smart Platforms, placed inside metal structures enclosed by sound panels and sliding partitions, are designed for tasks requiring careful concentration.
Creative Garden
The Creative Gardens are private areas with high-performance acoustics designed for teamwork and brainstorming; they are easily recognisable due to the lightweight wooden structures framing them, embellished with plants and greenery.
Atelier
These so-called Atelier areas on the landings in front of the lifts on the second and third floors are the most cosy and intimate places and embody a notion of craftsmanship: hence they are made from custom-designed products.
Social Hub
Another fundamental feature is the Social Hubs, where people can congregate and hold informal meetings using wall monitors or enjoy short breaks with colleagues. Sport, nature and the city are the themes setting the mood and tone of these Social Hubs, whose custom-designed furniture and finishes match the different themes characterising the various operating floors. The interior layout also includes Touch Down areas, tall tables for short tasks not requiring a proper workstation. A recursive mix of configurations covers the work areas and, at the same time, caters for a full range of work methods: formal and informal, individual and cooperative, focused and freely arranged, all based around flexibility in terms of relations and the use of space.
The Loft
The 500m² triple-height “The Loft” space is located on the fifth floor offering an exclusive view across the city. It consists of a room with a 16-seat meeting table, kitchen and informal/relaxation space furnished with sofas and fitted with a screen. It is an authentic home within a home. One final point, certain areas are designed exclusively for the fifth floor.
Smart Flower
The Smart Flowers are organic stations ideal for individual work and work requiring careful concentration.
Garden Tables
The Garden Tables are circular areas with plants in the middle, catering for both individual and team work (in this case the plants can be lowered to create one single round table for meetings).
실내 디자인
DEGW의 인테리어 디자인은 마이크로소프트의 글로벌 가이드라인을 따랐으며 이탈리아 최고의 제조와 디자인에 초점을 맞추었다. 건물은 지상 6층이다. 지상 1층은 일반인에게 개방된 고객 공간이며, 회사 제품을 전시하고 맞춤형으로 설계된 중앙 계단으로 연결된다. 2층부터 5층까지는 회사 직원들과 파트너들을 위한 공간이다. 디자이너는 디자인, 가구, 액세서리 등 이탈리아 취향에 초점을 맞춘 인테리어 건축을 설계해 목재와 같은 천연 소재를 활용해 따뜻하고 반가운 환경을 조성했다. 디자이너는 자유롭고 원활하게 흐르는 레이아웃으로 7500m²의 마이크로소프트 본사를 설계했다. Open Space 작업 공간에는 전용 워크스테이션이 없다. 모든 사람이 필요에 따라 공간을 이동한다. 다양한 운영층에 있는 할당되지 않은 오픈 스페이스 워크스테이션은 기능과 요구사항에 따라 배치와 미학 면에서 서로 다르다. 단조롭지 않고 창의성과 상호작용을 장려하는 작업 공간을 만들기 위해 어떤 영역은 소통성이 더 높고 다른 영역은 더 사적인 영역이다. 작업공간은 작업 유형에 따라 구분되며, 세심하게 설계된 클러스터와 가구 및 바닥의 특수 마감으로 처리됐다. 독특한 특징들은 투명한 공간의 생성을 최적의 소리와 환경 성능을 조화시키는 하위 영역을 만든다.
스마트 플랫폼
사운드 패널과 슬라이딩 파티션으로 둘러싸인 금속 구조물 내부에 배치된 스마트 플랫폼은 세심한 집중력이 필요한 작업을 위해 설계됐다.
크리에이티브 가든
크리에이티브 가든(Creative Garden)은 팀워크와 브레인스토밍을 위해 설계된 고성능 음향 시설을 갖춘 개인 구역으로, 식물과 녹지로 장식된 경량 목재 구조물로 인해 쉽게 알아볼 수 있다.
아틀리에
2층과 3층의 승강기 앞에 있는 소위 아틀리에 공간은 가장 아늑하고 친밀한 장소이며 장인정신의 개념을 구현하고 있다. 따라서 그것들은 주문 제작 상품으로 만들어진다.
소셜 허브
또 다른 특징은 사람들이 모여 벽면 모니터를 이용해 비공식 모임을 갖거나 동료들과 짧은 휴식을 즐길 수 있는 소셜 허브이다. 스포츠, 자연, 도시는 이러한 소셜 허브의 분위기와 톤을 결정하는 테마이며, 맞춤형 가구와 마감은 다양한 층을 특징짓는 다양한 테마와 일치한다. 내부 레이아웃에는 적절한 워크스테이션이 필요 없는 짧은 작업을 위한 높은 테이블인 터치 다운 영역도 포함되어 있다. 반복적인 구성의 혼합은 작업 영역을 포함하며, 동시에 형식과 비공식, 개인과 협력, 집중과 자유로 배열된 모든 범위의 작업 방법에 대한 요구를 충족시킨다.
더 로프트
500m²의 3중 높이의 "로프트" 공간은 도시의 전망을 제공하는 5층에 위치해 있다. 회의 테이블, 주방 및 소파가 비치된 휴식 공간으로 구성되어 있으며, 스크린이 설치되어 있다.
스마트 플라워
스마트 플라워는 세심한 집중력이 요구되는 개별 작업 및 작업에 이상적인 유기적인 스테이션이다.
정원 테이블
가든 테이블은 중앙에 식물이 있는 원형 구역으로, 개인 작업과 팀 작업을 모두 수행할 수 있다(이 경우 식물을 낮춰 회의를 위한 하나의 둥근 테이블을 만들 수 있다).
