블룸(BLOOM)건축사사무소의 플라스틱 폐기물을 건축 재료로 활용한 프놈펜의 ‘PIZZA 4P'S 레스토랑’
BLOOM ARCHITECTURE TRANSFORM PLASTIC WASTE INTO THE MATERIAL OF THE NEW PIZZA 4PS RESTAURANT IN PHNOM PENH

플래그립 레스토랑 ‘PIZZA 4P'S’의 루버는 블룸 건축사사무소의 혁신적이고 의도적인 컨셉으로 오늘날 동남아시아의과제 중 하나인 플라스틱이 만들어내는 환경 오염 문제를 행복의 원천으로 바꿔준 창조적인 작업이다.

우유통, 스낵백, 빨대, 식품용기, 마켓박스 등에서 7.8톤의 플라스틱(70인이 1년 동안 배출한 폐기물에 해당)을 수거하고 PLASTICPEOPLE에서 재활용하여 건물의 루버로 제작하였다. 이는 유리를 통해 레스토랑으로 들어오는 햇빛을 막아주는 역할을 한다.

This innovative and conscious concept demonstrates the role of creatives such as BLOOM to turn a challenge of today in South East Asia - the plastic polluting our environment - to become a source of happiness for tomorrow - louvers for the brand new flagship restaurant for PIZZA 4P’S.

7.8 tons of plastic (the equivalent of the waste for 70 persons over a year) were collected from Milk boxes, snack bags, straws, food containers and market boxes in order to be recycled by PLASTICPEOPLE to fabricate louvers which will dress the interiors of the restaurant and protect the glass facade from sun radiation.

PIZZA4PS은 ‘폐기물 제로’라는 컨셉을 확장하여 창의적인 재료를 활용한 것뿐만 아니라 모든 고객이 사용할 수 있는 플라스틱 재활용 허브가 매장에 놓여 질 계획이다.

프놈펜 BKK1 지구의 번화한 교차로 모퉁이에 위치한 이 다채로운 개방형 구조물은 현대 사회의 상징적인 역할을 하게 될 것이다. BLOOM은 건축주와 건축가가 함께 지역 자원의 사용과 지속 가능성에 대한 가치와 미래 세대에게 재미있고 매력적인 방식으로 메세지를 전해줄 수 있는 건축물을 만들었다.

Expanding on the zero waste concept from PIZZA4PS, not only did the team creatively salvage materials, a plastic recycling hub usable by all patrons will be built into the store.

Sitting at the corner of a busy crossroad of the BKK1 district of Phnom Penh, this colorful open structure acts as a symbol of contemporary society. Together with the owner, constructor and supplier, BLOOM developed an architecture which conveys values about using local resources and sustainability to educate the future generation in a fun, attractive way.
