브리즈온은 지상으로 들어 올려진 바위의 콘크리트 덩어리를 둘로 쪼갠 모양이다. 두 개로 쪼개진 콘크리트 덩어리 사이에 유리 기둥의 수직 동선 체계와 브리지를 추가하여 떨어져 있지만 상호 교류가 일어나는 적절한 관계를 유지한다. 주도로에서의 차량은 대지의 형태에 순응하며 자연스러운 접근을 유도한다. V자 형태의 대지를 활용하여 대지 형태에 따라 진출입을 분리하여 순환 동선 체계로 구축하였다. 방문자가 도보로 처음 대면하는 중앙의 거울 연못은 비가 오는 날과 바람이 부는 날을 수면 위에 표현해 준다. 맑은 날은 주변 풍경과 건물을 연못 속으로 끌어안으며 공간의 깊이감을 더해주어 방문자에게 다양한 건물의 모습을 보여주게 된다. 거울 연못은 건물이 살아 있음을 느끼게 해주는 표현이라 할 수 있을 것이다.

 

중앙 계단 및 엘리베이터를 타고 올라오면 두 개의 갈림길이 나온다. 중앙 홀 브리지에서 잠시 머무르며, 건물 외부에서 보이지 않는 중앙홀 브리지의 주변 공간을 둘러볼 수 있다. 중앙의 계단, 계단을 설치하기 위한 두 개의 기둥, 전망 엘리베이터의 건축적 선과 구조물들은 외부와의 시선을 일부 차단하는 동시에 열어주기도 하면서 경계의 구분을 흐리게 만들어 준다. 3층의 돌출된 켄틸레버 발코니는 자연의 풍경에 조금 더 다가가고 싶은 이들을 위한 공간이자, 현대인들이 자연을 갈구하는 욕구 표출이 가능한 공간이다.

 

두 건물의 중앙에 위치한 계단은 많은 역할을 담당한다. 첫째로 방문객의 안전을 지켜주는 주피난 계단이 된다. 두 번째로 계단참에 서 있는 두 개의 콘크리트 기둥은 계단을 받쳐주는 구조적 기둥이 되며 조형적 역할을 담당하기도 한다. 옛 마을 입구에는 나무로 만들어진 두 개의 장승이 서서 마을을 지키고, 방문객을 맞이한다. 이처럼 두 개의 하늘로 뻗어 올라가는 기둥은 이 건물을 지켜주는 중심이며 방문객에게는 좋은 추억의 배경이 되어 준다. 3층에 있는 옥외테라스는 피난 동선의 역할을 하는 동시에 방문객에게는 이곳에서 있으면 하늘에 떠 있는 듯한 느낌을 주며 두 건물의 벌어진 틈 사이로 펼쳐지는 원경의 풍경을 감상하게 하는 전망대 겸 휴게 공간이 된다.

Breeze On is a concrete mass of rock lifted off the ground and split in two. A glass column and bridges create a vertical circulation system between the two concrete blocks, maintaining an appropriate relationship where interaction occurs despite the separation. Vehicular traffic on the main road conforms to the shape of the site and creates a natural approach. The V-shaped site was utilized to create a circulation system by separating the entrance and exit according to the shape of the site. The central water space, which visitors first encounter on foot, reflects rainy and windy days on its surface. On a clear day, the surrounding landscape and buildings are drawn into the water, adding depth to the space and showing visitors the different faces of the building. The water space is an expression that gives life to the building.

 

Going up the central staircase or elevator, the visitor is presented with two different directions. You can linger on the concourse bridge for a while and explore the space around it, which is not visible from the outside of the building. The central staircase, the two pillars that support the staircase, and the architectural lines and structures of the observation elevator partially block yet keep open the view from the outside, blurring the boundaries. The protruding cantilevered balcony on the third floor is a space for those who want to get a little closer to the natural landscape, and a place where visitors can fulfill their cravings for nature.

 

The staircase, located in the center of the two buildings, serves many purposes. First, it is the main evacuation staircase that protects the safety of visitors. Second, the two concrete pillars standing on the landing serve as structural pillars that support the stairs and work as a sculpture. At the entrance to the old village, two wooden jangseungs[1] stand to guard the village and welcome visitors. These two pillars reaching up to the sky are the centerpiece that protects the building and provide a memorable backdrop for visitors. The outdoor terrace on the third floor serves as an evacuation route and at the same time serves as an observatory and rest area where visitors can enjoy the distant scenery unfolding through the gap between the two buildings.
