전통적인 일본 주택은 내부의 어두운 방에서 외부의 밝은 정원을 감상하고, 깊은 처마가 내부와 정원을 연결한다. 건축가는 전통적인 일본 주택에서 건축과 정원의 조화가 강조하며 외관과 내부의 관계를 형성한 점에 주목했다. 씨포엘은 자연스러운 감성을 활용하여 따뜻함이 배어있는 재료와 가구를 통합하여 편안한 환경의 가능성에 주목하여 일본의 전통적인 감성을 표현하는 프로젝트다. 빛의 표현을 통해 정적인 영역과 역동적인 영역의 대비에 세심한 주의를 기울이고, 목재, 석재, 일본의 종이 등 자연적인 재료를 건축의 형태로 변형하며 각 분야의 장인들과 협업하여 독특한 분위기의 공간을 형성했다. 이러한 건축가의 의도는 전통 기술에 대한 존중을 보이며 일본 주택의 절묘한 고급스러움을 드러낸다.

In traditional Japanese houses, dark rooms inside overlook the bright garden outside, and deep eaves connect the interior to the garden. The architects focused on the emphasis on harmony between the architecture and garden in traditional Japanese houses, which create a relationship between exterior and interior. C4L is a project that expresses traditional Japanese sentiment by utilizing a natural sentiment and integrating warm materials and furniture, focusing on the possibility of a comfortable environment. The architects paid close attention to the contrast between static and dynamic areas through the expression of light, transformed natural materials such as wood, stone, and Japanese paper into architectural forms, and collaborated with craftsmen in each field to create spaces with a unique atmosphere. In this way, the architect’s intention shows respect for traditional techniques and reveals the exquisite luxury of Japanese houses.
