Cardboard-formed Exhibition Space 2.0 -Xinyang Book Market: Books 'N Tea

루오 스튜디오는 작년에 이어서 줘 징(Zuo Jing)의 ‘신양 북마켓: 북스 앤 티’ 전시회를 위한 공간을 설계하며 재활용이 가능한 골판지 구조물을 활용했다. 이번 전시는 아틀리에 리우 유양 아키텍츠(Atelier Liu Yuyang Architects)에서 설계한 가을 북하우스와 겨울 북하우스에서 개최했다. 전시장으로 활용된 건물은 부채꼴 모양의 작은 건물로, 같은 지붕을 공유하며 각각 독립적인 공간으로 구성됐다. 건축가는 전시 전용 공간으로 사용된 남측의 건물에 각각 다양한 컨셉을 가지고 있는 18개의 독립 서점의 전시 공간을 마련해야 했다. 각각 서점의 서적에 독립적인 전시 공간을 할애하기 위해 전시용 디스플레이 선반은 병렬로 효율적으로 배치했고, 책의 종류와 크기, 중량에 따라 조립 형태를 다양하게 했다. 각종 전시용 이미지는 골판지 벽면에 못을 박아 모서리를 고정하는 방식을 사용하여 전시 이후의 골판지의 재사용성을 높였다. 특히, 기존의 밝은 갈색의 골판지와 더불어 새로 개발한 빨간색, 검은색, 흰색의 여러 골판지 타입을 선보이며 골판지를 활용한 전시 공간의 다양한 가능성과 분위기를 제공했다.

 

Continuing from last year, Luo Studio designed the space for Zuo Jing’s ‘Xinyang Book Market: Books 'N Tea’ exhibition, utilizing recyclable corrugated cardboard structures. This exhibition was held in the Autumn Bookhouse and Winter Bookhouse designed by Atelier Liu Yuyang Architects. The buildings used for the exhibition are small, fan-shaped buildings that are independent spaces sharing a roof. The architects had to create exhibition spaces for 18 independent booksellers, each with a different concept, in the south wing of the building, which was dedicated to exhibitions. In order to give each bookstore an independent display space for their books, the display shelves were efficiently arranged in parallel, and the assembly was varied according to the type, size, and weight of the books. The various images for display had their corners nailed to corrugated cardboard walls, thus increasing the reusability of the cardboard after the exhibition. In particular, in addition to the existing light brown corrugated cardboard, several newly developed corrugated cardboard types in red, black, and white were introduced, providing various possibilities and atmospheres for exhibition spaces using corrugated cardboard
