HOUSE ON MAPLE-TREE HILLS

The shape of the site is deeper than its narrow front width, with about two-thirds of the land approximately three meters above the street level. As a result, the level facing the street is effectively at the underground level, while one floor is at ground level. The house consists of a total of four floors, including a penthouse. Around the perimeter, three sides that are set back from the street have one-floor-high parapet walls. Natural light enters the first-floor living room through gaps between the exterior walls and the interior garden above them. In the front, there is a large elongated window facing the park across the street. This allows the living room to appear to expand widely horizontally, and since natural light only comes in vertically, it creates a space resembling a "white cave." The primary concept of the interior is the natural light coming from the gaps between the walls facing each other, bringing the outside in. Most importantly, this design is not detectable from the outside.

대지의 형태는 좁은 앞쪽 너비에 비해 깊이는 더 깊고, 대지의 2/3는 거리로부터 약 3m 위에 있다. 따라서 거리와 면한 레벨은 실제로 지하레벨과 같고, 한 층 위는 지상의 거리 수준이 된다. 펜트하우스를 포함해 총 4개 층으로 이루어진 집이다. 거리 쪽에서 떨어진 세 면의 둘레에는 한 층 높이의 칸막이벽이 있다. 1층 거실에는 외벽과 외벽 사이의 틈과 작은 내부 정원 상단을 통해 자연광이 들어온다. 정면에는 길 반대편 공원을 향하는 크고 긴 창이 하나 있다. 이로 인해 거실은 수평으로는 넓게 확장되고, 자연광이 수직으로만 들어오기 때문에 ‘하얀 동굴’과 같은 공간이 만들어진다. 내부 공간의 주된 콘셉트는 서로 마주하고 있는 벽들 사이의 틈을 통해 밖에서 안으로 들어오는 자연광이다. 여기서 중요한 점은, 이 콘셉트를 외부에서는 감지할 수 없다는 것이다.
