The owner wanted a house that could hold many of their books and observe wild birds in the garden, which reminded him of the image of a "forest library." This meant that when designed, large windows were needed in the living room and drawing room so that residents could observe nature from within through long, narrow gardens made for birds. However, since the land is located in a residential area, a large window without considering privacy will not create a comfortable atmosphere. Accordingly, the location of the window was lowered by partially allowing the building to be buried on the ground, and the area around the ground was surrounded with low walls to ensure both good view and privacy. The kitchen and storage space are designed to be concentrated in the center. The living room, the drawing room, and the study are arranged around it, and a corridor lined with bookshelves is connected to create a circular movement and provide enough space for book storage with an open feeling.

건축주는 그들의 많은 책을 수납할 수 있고, 야생의 새들을 정원에서 관찰할 수 있는 집을 원했는데, 이것은 “숲속 도서관”의 이미지를 떠오르게 했다. 이것은 설계할 때, 새를 위해 만들어진 길고 좁은 정원을 통해 거주자들이 안에서 자연을 관찰할 수 있도록 거실과 응접실에 큰 창이 필요하다는 것을 의미했다. 하지만 대지가 주거지역에 위치하여, 프라이버시를 고려하지 않은 큰 창은 편안한 분위기를 만들어 주지 못할 것이다. 이에 따라, 부분적으로 건물을 대지에 묻히도록 하여 창문의 위치를 낮췄고, 대지 주변을 낮은 벽으로 감싸 좋은 전망과 프라이버시 모두를 보장했다. 부엌과 저장 공간은 중앙에 집중될 수 있도록 설계했다. 거실과 응접실, 그리고 서재는 그 주위에 배치했으며, 원형의 동선을 조성하고, 트인 느낌과 함께 책 수납을 위한 충분한 공간을 제공하기 위해 책 선반들과 함께 선상을 이룬 복도가 연결된다.
