Xi'an, the ancient capital of 13 dynasties, is characterized by a combination of thousands of years of civilization and modern lifestyles. Fengdong, where the bookstore is located, has recently been a key area of Xi'an development. The designer wanted to implement a bookstore necessary for this place based on the cultural background of the region and the geographical importance of the land. Planned as a large 3,500-square-meter complex cultural space, the bookstore serves as a messenger of public and urban culture. The children's book area is planned to be given a future-oriented sense to arouse children's creativity and imagination. The bookshelf for adults has a symmetrical arrangement around the atrium, showing natural texture with wood, metal, and stone finishes, and fused with simple forms of furniture to create a cozy atmosphere.

13개 왕조의 고대 수도인 시안(Xi’an)은 수천 년의 문명과 현대적인 생활양식이 결합된 것이 특징이다. 서점이 위치한 펑동(Fengdong)은 최근, 시안 개발의 핵심 지역이다. 디자이너는 지역의 문화적 배경과 대지의 지리적 중요성을 근거로 이곳에 필요한 서점을 구현하고자 했다. 3,500m2 규모의 대형 복합문화공간으로 계획된 이 서점은 공공 영역과 도시 문화의 전달자의 역할을 한다. 어린이 도서 영역에는 미래지향적인 감각이 부여되어 아이들의 창의성과 상상력을 불러 일으키도록 계획됐다. 성인을 위한 서가는 아트리움을 중심으로 대칭적인 배치를 이루며 목재, 금속, 석재 마감으로 자연적인 질감을 나타내고 단순한 형태의 가구와 융합되어 부드러운 분위기를 자아낸다.
