Bukchon One Cafe is a cafe located in the center of several stays as a follow-up to Nostel Zier Hiddenjae.
Breakfast services are provided to customers who use Stay, and anyone can come and enjoy coffee and desserts at ordinary times. This cafe is located in Bukchon, so the majority of foreign customers wanted to feel the beauty of Korea through the Korean traditional architectural structure or finishing materials. Since the structure is made of wood, we tried to leave traces of the past by utilizing the existing structure as much as possible, and the layout was completed by catching the customer's movement around the wooden pillar left behind. In addition, detailed elements were used using various connection methods such as the boundary of the built-in bench and floating group table using these wooden pillars. In addition, stone tiles, concrete panels, and granite in the building next to the stairs used to separate the copper wire are natural and are finishes that highlight the beauty of Korea. The biggest finishing point is hemp attached to the wall on the side of the built-in bench. Using traditional Korean cloth, I wanted to express the elegance in contrast to the pillars and ceilings of the existing wooden structure. The walls using frp feel like Korean paper with food engraved through indirect lighting.
북촌 원카페는 노스텔지어 히든재의 후속작업으로 여러채의 스테이 중심에 위치해 있는 카페이다.
스테이를 이용한 고객들에게 조식서비스를 제공하고 평상 시에는 누구나 와 커피와 디저트를 즐길 수 있다.
이 카페는 북촌에 위치해 있어 외국인 손님이 대다수여서 한국 전통의 건축구조 혹은 마감재를 통해 한국의 미를 느끼게 하고 싶었다. 구조가 목재로 이루어져 있어 최대한 기존 구조를 살려 과거의 흔적을 남기려 하였으며 남겨진 목재기둥을 중심으로 고객의 동선을 잡아 레이아웃을 완성하였다. 또한 이런 목재기둥을 활용하여 붙박이 벤치의 경계, 플로팅 단체테이블 등 다양한 결부방식을 사용하여 디테일적인 요소들을 사용하였다. 또한 동선 분리로 사용되어진 석재타일과 콘크리트판넬, 계단 옆 건물의 화강암 등은 자연적이며 한국의 미를 돋보이게 하는 마감재이다. 가장 큰 마감재 포인트는 붙박이 벤치 쪽 벽에 붙인 삼베이다. 한국의 전통적인 천을 사용하여 기존 목구조의 기둥과 천정과 대비되는 단아함을 표현하고 싶었다. frp를 사용한 벽체는 간접조명을 통해 먹이 새겨진 한지같은 느낌을 준다.
