MUSIC GUESTHOUSE IKUHA

This building was a shop and a house with an frontage of 2.7 m and a depth of 11.7 m. We renovated this to the guesthouse. First of all, in order to eliminate the psychological feeling of pressure due to the narrowness of this width, we removed the third floor all but the structure. And, as a reinforcement of structure, we put a brace with the length of the both floors. Guests need to walk away from this brace, but these braces make impressive the space. Living cells are arranged in two steps in a row. Construction is very low-cost with a simple finish, but it is a very powerful space.

"Music Guesthouse IKUHA" is jointly managed by two people in the music industry. Each living cells were named after famous nightclubs in the world. The graphics of room name corresponds to brace. Here is a phonograph records collection adorned with guitars, turntables, posters and flyers decorated. It is a guesthouse that enjoyed not only just music people but also anyone.

음악과 함께하는 게스트하우스, IKUHA

 

이 프로젝트는 너비 2.7m, 깊이 11.7m의 가게이자 주택으로 쓰이던 건물을 게스트하우스로 개조한 프로젝트다. 가장 먼저 좁은 폭에서 오는 심리적 압박감을 없애기 위해 구조물을 제외한 3층을 모두 철거했다. 그리고 구조물을 보강해 양쪽 층의 긴 방향으로 가새를 두었다. 투숙객들은 이 가새로부터 떨어져 걸어야 하지만, 인상적인 공간을 느낄 수 있다. 투숙공간은 두 단계에 걸쳐 연속적으로 배열된다. 간단한 마감으로 시공비를 절감했지만 강력한 힘을 가진 공간이 되었다.

뮤직하우스 IKUHA는 음악에 종사하는 두 사람이 공동으로 운영하고 있다. 각각의 투숙공간의 이름은 세계의 유명 클럽의 이름을 따서 지어졌다. 각각의 실명은 가새를 따라 그래픽으로 들어가 있다. 기타, 턴테이블, 포스터, 전단지를 장식한 레코드 음반 모음 등 여러 요소들이 실내를 꾸민다. 음악인 뿐만 아니라 누구라도 즐길 수 있는 게스트하우스를 만들고자 했다.
