발칼(Bar Kar)은 원시 공동체 요리 컨셉으로 장작들로 에워싸여 동굴과 같은 분위기를 자아낸다. 나무를 중심으로 손님들은 실제 장작이 늘어선 통로를 통해 사람들은 내부로 이동하게 된다. 동굴 같은 내부는 원시 시대에 땅에서 음식을 요리하고 훈제하는 데 사용되었던 고대 흙 오븐인 구덩이에서 영감을 받은 것이다. 원형의 셰프 테이블에서 손님들은 셰프와 보다 가까이에서 요리 여정을 체험하고 상호 작용할 수 있게 된다.

 

공간의 두 가지 주요 특징인 빨간색 석회로 제작된 원형 바 카운터와 불 같은 금색 금속 메쉬 조각으로 고정된 고급 연회용 소파 좌석 공간은 모두 열과 불이 갖는 힘을 추상적으로 해석한 것이라고 할 수 있다. 상호작용이 이루어지는 식사하려는 사람들을 위해 마련된 Chef's Table은 회색 석회화로 제작된 U자형 카운터에서는 최대 20명의 손님을 수용할 수 있으며 요리사와 소통하고 원시 스타일의 장작불 요리를 가까이서 지켜볼 수 있다. 프라이빗 다이닝 룸은 눈에 띄는 빨간색 식탁 위에 계단식 층과 떠다니는 파이어 메쉬 조각이 있는 동굴에서 영감을 얻어 누에고치 느낌의 안락함을 줄 수 있는 곳으로 손님들을 안내한다.

 

발칼(Bar Kar)은 열과 불의 요소가 테라코타 치장 벽토 벽과 불타는 메쉬, 붉은 석회화의 흙빛 색조로 구현되어 고대의 전통 요리를 연상시키는 요리 여행으로 손님을 초대하는 원시 공동체의 요리 개념의 전형을 보여준다.

Bar Kar is an immersive wood-fired restaurant that revolves around the concept of primordial community cooking. With wood as the focal point guests are first ushered through a pathway lined with actual firewood and inside, the cavernous interior was inspired by the ancient earth oven pits which in primordial times were used to cook and smoke food in the ground. A circular Chef’s Table allows customers to be up close with the chefs to interact and experience the cooking journey.

 

The two main features of the space, a circular bar counter constructed out of red travertine and a plush banquet sofa seating area, anchored by a fiery gold metal mesh sculpture are both abstract interpretations of the elemental force of heat and fire. For those seeking an interactive dining experience, the Chef’s Table offers a U-shaped counter constructed from grey travertine, accommodating up to 20 guests eager to engage with the chefs and witness the primordial style woodfire cooking up close. The private dining room transports diners into a cocoon-like sanctuary, drawing inspiration from the organic contours of a cave, with cascading layers and a floating fire mesh sculpture above a striking red travertine dining table.

 

Bar Kar epitomizes the concept of primordial community cooking, where elements of heat and fire are embodied in terracotta stucco walls, fiery mesh installations, and the earthy hues of red travertine, inviting guests on a culinary journey reminiscent of ancient cooking traditions.
