Qishe Courtyard

이 집은 베이징 구도심의 좁은 골목에 있다. 총 길이 15m, 폭 42m인 세 개의 정원이 있는 작은 사합원(중국 전통 주거 유형)이다. 이것의 주소 번호가 7이고, 본래 7개의 경사 지붕 건물들로 이뤄졌기 때문에 “치셔”(“치”와 “셔”는 중국어로 각각 “칠”과 “집”을 의미한다)라고 불린다. 프로젝트에 접근하기 위해 아크스튜디오(ARCHSTUDIO)는 두 가지 목표를 설정했다. 이 목표는 하나는 오래된 것을 개조하고 새로운 것을 삽입하는 것이었다. 이를 위해 집을 정돈하고, 모든 건물의 벽을 복원했으며, 전통적인 사합원의 외관을 만들기 위해 건축 구조를 강화했다. 또한, 화장실, 주방, 그리고 냉난방과 환기 배관, 차고는 물론 베란다와 같은 새로운 거주 공간이 계획됐다.

This house is located in a narrow alley in downtown Beijing. It is a small Siheyuan (a traditional Chinese residential style) with three gardens, measuring a total length of 15 meters and a width of 42 meters. The address is Number 7, and it is called "Chesire" because it originally consisted of seven sloped-roof buildings, with "Chi" and "She" meaning "seven" and "house" in Chinese, respectively. To approach the project, ARCHSTUDIO set two goals: one was to renovate the old and insert the new. To achieve this, the house was organized, all building walls were restored, and the architectural structure was reinforced to create the traditional appearance of a Siheyuan. Second, new living spaces were planned, including bathrooms, kitchens, heating and ventilation systems, garages, and verandas.
