The carpentry house is designed with the philosophy of building a house that is not only a place to live but also a place to protect people from the outside environment. the most important thing in the house is the space that connects people inside and outside. Thanks to the direction of air circulation along the length of the house, the space inside and outside of the house will become lively and cool. Both closed and open areas have wind movement throughout most of the day, making the best use of the natural source of energy. Continually stacked volumes blend into a purposeful whole: the ostentatious one and the shyly other one, both of which nestled with enough setbacks to block the harsh summer sun. The main material, which is true to its name “rustic and quiet”, brings a nostalgia connecting the heritage of tropical architecture. Between the cushions and the graceful light hides the charm with the European antique brick arches. We encapsulate these moments in the contrast of materials and light etched into the imaginary box, sober yet vivid.

이 카펜트리 하우스는 삶을 살아가는 장소일 뿐 아니라 외부 환경으로부터 보호받는 장소라는 철학을 바탕으로 설계된 주택이다. 이 집에서 가장 중요한 점은 사람들을 외부와 내부로 연결해주는 공간이다. 집의 길이를 따른 공기의 방향에 따라 순환이 이루어지고 집의 외부와 내모 모두 시원하게 생활이 가능하도록 해준다. 자연에너지를 최대로 이용하여 폐쇄된 영역과 개방된 영역 어디에 있어도 항상 바람이 부는 것을 느낄 수 있다. 과시적으로 때로는 수줍은 듯하게 여러 겹 쌓아 올린 볼륨은 하나로 융합되어 집 전체가 한 덩어리처럼 느껴지도록 해주며 여름날의 뜨거운 햇살을 막아 주기도 한다. 이 집은 이름처럼 '전원적이고 조용한' 분위기를 연상시키는 재료를 주로 사용하여 열대지역의 건축 유산들을 연상시키며 향수를 불러일으킨다. 쿠션들과 우아한 조명 사이에는 유럽식의 앤티크한 벽돌로 된 아치의 매력이 곳곳에 숨어있다. 우리는 재료와 빛의 대비로 진지하고 생생하게 만들어지는 이러한 순간들을 상상 상자에 새겨 놓는다.
