9.639 - An Inserted Variable Office

Considering the land conditions, LUO Studio decided to create a new office on one side of the land. It was planned as one-on-one communication between customers and graphic designers in the "print + design" service industry is essential. The smallest workstation where two people can sit together and have a conversation, this ultra-small office consists of several small modules measuring 1.53m, 0.9m and 1.377㎡, respectively. Each module contains basic support elements for work, such as chairs, desks, cabinets, lights, and outlets, which are installed at appropriate heights on the top, bottom, and sides to meet ergonomic needs. 9.639 square meters is smaller than a typical bedroom area. However, offices that meet the needs of work, meetings, communication, exhibitions, movement, lighting, and storage can be seen as ultra-small buildings, or as huge furniture or large electronic devices. However, from the perspective of LUO Studios, it is a product of spatial experiments and exploration focused on urban problems.

대지 조건을 고려해 LUO 스튜디오는 대지 한쪽에 새 사무실을 만들기로 했다. ‘인쇄 + 디자인’ 서비스업은 고객과 그래픽 디자이너 사이의 일대일 소통이 필수이기에 계획했다. 두 사람이 함께 앉아 대화를 나눌 수 있는 가장 작은 워크스테이션이 초소형 사무실은 길이와 폭, 넓이가 각각 1.53m, 0.9m, 1.377㎡인 소형 모듈 여러 개로 구성되어 있다. 각 모듈은 의자, 책상, 수납장, 전등, 콘센트 등 업무를 위한 기본적인 지원 요소를 포함하고 있고, 이들은 상부와 하부, 측면에 적당한 높이로 설치되어 있어 인체공학적 필요를 충족한다. 9.639m2라고 하면 일반적인 침실 면적보다 작은 셈이다. 하지만 업무, 회의, 소통, 전시, 이동, 조명, 수납 등과 관련된 요구를 충족하는 사무실은 초소형 건축물로 볼 수도 있고, 거대한 가구나 커다란 전자기기로도 볼 수 있다. 그러나 LUO 스튜디오의 관점에서 이곳은 도시 문제에 초점을 맞춘 공간적 실험과 탐구의 산물이다.
