A home for family and architectural practice that connects with a typical Flemish landscape. This is done by playing with roof slopes, materials and views from the house. The roofs dovetail into the landscape and create some strong shapes towards the surroundings. They protect the volume like a shelter. It is a compact volume with a square ground plan rhythmed by a series of windows overlooking different views of the garden and the landscape. The children's rooms are situated under the steep roof slope at the front. Each room has its own gable roof. The roof slopes swing out into the landscape with three openings. The whole creates some strong shapes towards the surroundings. This house breathes ‘soul’ through its natural use of materials. The exterior resembles a tactile volume in baked clay, the interior radiates warmth with a lot of wood and terrazzo.

가족을 위한 집이자 플랑드르 지역의 전형적인 집의 형태를 보여주는 엘앤디 하우스는 주변 전망과 연결된다. 지붕의 경사와 재료 그리고 집에서의 전망을 활용함으로써 완성된 것이다. 지붕은 전망에 들어맞으며, 주변 환경을 향해 강렬한 형태를 만들어내고, 마치 피난처처럼 집을 감싼다. 이 집은 사각형의 평면을 가진 정원과 각각 다른 전망을 바라보는 일련의 창문들에 의해 율동이 생기는 집약적인 볼륨이다. 아이들의 방은 가파른 지붕 경사 아래의 정면에 위치한다. 각 실들은 각각의 박공지붕을 소유하고 있다. 지붕 경사는 세 개의 개방구와 함께 풍경 속으로 뻗어 나간다. 이 모든 것은 주위를 향한 강렬한 형태를 창조한다. 이 집은 자연적 재료의 활용을 통해 ‘영혼’을 불어넣는다. 외부는 구운 진흙으로 빚어진 볼륨을 닮았고, 내부는 많은 목재와 테라조를 통해 따뜻한 느낌을 준다.
