The Overall Renovation of Yule Mountain Boutique Hotel

The Yule Mountain Boutique Hotel is located on the Taihuyuan River, surrounded by local roads and mountains. The existing main building was an antique-style building with 30 rooms on a four-story scale. The owner of the building wanted to reduce the number of rooms through renovation and make it a space where guests staying here spend a comfortable vacation. Inspired by the land and existing buildings, it was a key element of the plan to re-examine the relationship between the surrounding downtown and roads, gardens and buildings, creating a hierarchy of descriptive spaces. The five rooms in the existing main building have been reduced to three, and each room has a balcony where you can enjoy the outside view. In addition, a new outer shell was created studying the wooden doors and window frames of the existing building and applying them to buildings along the river.

율리산 부티크 호텔(Yule Mountain Boutique Hotel)은 지방 도로와 산으로 둘러싸인 타이후위안(Taihuyuan) 강변에 자리 잡고 있다. 기존 본관은 4층 규모에 30개의 객실을 갖춘 고풍스러운 양식의 건물이었다. 건축주는 리노베이션을 통해 객실 수를 줄이고, 이곳에서 묵는 숙박객이 편안한 휴가를 보내는 공간으로 만들고자 했다. 대지와 기존 건물에서 영감을 받아, 주변 시내와 도로, 정원과 건물 사이의 관계를 다시 조사하여 서술적인 공간의 위계를 만드는 것이 이번 계획의 핵심 요소였다. 기존 본관의 5개의 객실을 3개로 줄였으며, 각 방마다 외부 경치를 즐길 수 있는 발코니가 만들어 졌다. 또한, 기존 건물의 목재 문과 창틀을 조사하여 강가의 건물에도 적용함으로써 새로운 외피를 만들었다.
