'Peaceful streams' is the name of the house derived from the phrase reminiscent of the scenery of sheep grazing leisurely in a peaceful resting place with the care of Jesus in the Bible, and is a space where the second generation of families reside. A couple in their early 60s, who were traveling around the country to do business when they were young, requested the design of a detached house (multi-family) where two households live together to make memories of their homes with their families. The story of a house that analyzed the lifestyle between generations and became a real family began in the yard, focusing on the joy of living with the family, sharing the joys and sorrows of everyday life.

 

In general, the yard of a detached housing site in a housing site development district cannot be free from the perspective of adjacent roads and land on the volume of the site. It planned to plan a private courtyard that was separated from the front road inside the site close to Cheongna Lake Park and adjacent to the buffer green area and share it with two generations. In the type of housing where the two generations must live independently and in harmony, the yard secures intergenerational sharing and serves as a medium for introducing the natural view of the lake park into the building in its own way.

 

The piloti on the first floor, which is an entry space on the front road, is a transition space that connects the outside and inside of the ground, and is used as a parking space after separating the front door of each household. Through the separated porch, the first and second floors are separated into the generation of parents and the generation of sons in the form of a mass of A and B. The second-floor study and hobby room of the parents' generation are community spaces that are connected and shared by generations, and the inner space is horizontally and vertically expanded and linked through skip floor cross-sectional planning. The main focus of the plan is the separation of movements to effectively respond to changes in family members in the future.

 

The sculpture of the building symbolically separated the mass of the parents' generation and the son's generation through the inter-space, courtyard, and finished with bricks, minimizing decorative elements with a feeling of well-baked pottery. Bricks are in line with the family's history and capture traces of time. Courtyard invigorates the indoor space and introduces nature to each generation's space in various ways, providing abundance to the space. In order to secure a storage space, an attic space was actively installed and efficient space use was also an important point in the design process by actively utilizing the cross section of the skip floor.

 

We hope that 'Peaceful streams' that can be rested will be a realistic alternative to the common housing of the second generation of families in modern society, and that the generation of parents and sons will live, share, and live separately and together in their own ways.

‘쉴만한 물가’는 성경에서 예수님의 보살핌으로 평화로운 쉴 곳에서 한가롭게 풀을 뜯는 양들의 풍경을 연상케 하는 구절에서 따온 집 이름으로, 2대 가족이 거주하는 공간이다. 젊은 시절 전국으로 사업하러 돌아다니던 60대 초반의 부부가 가족과 함께한 집에 대한 추억을 만들고자 2대가 함께 사는 단독주택(다가구) 설계를 의뢰했다. 세대 간 라이프 스타일을 분석하고 가족이 함께 사는 즐거움에 집중하여 매일의 희로애락을 나누며 그렇게 진짜 가족이 되어가는 집의 이야기는 마당에서 시작했다.

 

일반적으로 택지개발지구 단독주택용지의 마당은 대지의 볼륨상 인접 도로와 대지의 시선에서 자유로울 수 없다. 청라 호수공원에 근접하고 완충녹지에 인접한 대지의 안쪽에 전면도로와 유리된 프라이빗한 안마당을 계획하고 2대가 공유하도록 계획했다. 두 세대가 독립적이면서 어울려 살아야 하는 주거유형에서 마당은 세대 간 공유성을 확보하며, 호수공원의 자연조망을 각자의 방식으로 건물 내부로 유입시키는 매개체 역할을 한다.

 

전면도로에서 진입공간인 1층 필로티는 대지 외부와 내부를 연결하는 전이공간이며 각 세대의 현관을 분리하고 주차공간으로 이용된다. 분리된 현관을 통하여 1층과 2층은 ‘ㄱ, ㄴ’의 매스 형태로 부모 세대와 아들 세대로 분리된다. 부모 세대의 2층 서재와 취미 방은 세대가 서로 연결되고 공유하는 커뮤니티 공간으로 스킵플로어 단면 계획을 통하여 내부 공간은 수평적 수직적으로 확장되고 연계된다. 추후 가족 구성원 변화에 대한 대응을 효과적으로 하기 위한 동선의 분리도 계획의 주요 주안점이다.

 

건물의 조형은 사이 공간인 중정을 통해 부모 세대와 아들 세대의 매스를 상징적으로 분리하고 잘 구워진 도자기의 느낌으로 장식적 요소를 최소화하여 벽돌로 마감했다. 벽돌은 가족의 역사와 결을 같이하며 세월의 흔적을 담아낸다.

 

중정은 실내공간에 활력을 불어넣고 다양한 방식으로 자연을 각 세대의 공간마다 유입시켜 풍요로움을 선사한다. 수납공간을 확보하기 위하여 다락 공간을 적극 설치하고, 스킵플로어의 단면을 적극적으로 활용한 효율적인 공간 사용도 설계 과정의 중요한 포인트였다.

 

‘쉴만한 물가’는 현대사회에서 2대 가족의 공동 주거에 대한 현실적인 대안이 되고 부모 세대와 아들 세대가 각자의 방식으로 삶을 영위하고 공유하며 따로, 또 같이 사는 삶을 담아낼 것을 희망한다.
